SEXMOG visit to Denmans Gardens near Fontwell , Wednesday 12 July 2023

The visit was organised by Jeff Deere and Karen Dollery. 25 people came and admired the lovely garden and had lunch at the Mid Pines Restaurant on site.

Denmans is a tranquil contemporary garden, created by Joyce Robinson, a pioneer in gravel gardening. and the former home of John Brookes MBE, an influential landscape designer. Colour, unusual plants, structure and fragrance can be found in the gravel gardens, ponds, walled garden and year round conservatory.
We met together at 11am for coffee outside, went on individual tours of the garden and then had lunch at 1pm. The Mid Pines Restaurant had a very interesting menu, influenced by the owner`s love of California, and the food was delicious.
